DMCA Policy

DSGHOUSE.COM is dedicated to upholding the intellectual property rights of others. We respect the creative efforts involved in original content, including articles, images, and designs related to home decor, architecture, and lifestyle. Our policy is to respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”).

This page outlines the procedure for copyright holders to notify us if they believe their work has been used on our site in a way that constitutes copyright infringement. It also describes the process for those who believe their content was removed in error.

How to File a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you are a copyright owner or an agent authorized to act on behalf of one, and you believe that any content hosted on dsghouse.com infringes upon your copyrights, you may submit a written DMCA takedown notice. This notice must contain specific information as required by the DMCA.

Please send your notice to our Designated Copyright Agent at [email protected]. We require the following elements in your DMCA notice:

  • A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed. This should be a description of the work and, if available, a copy or the location (e.g., URL) of an authorized version of the work.
  • Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity. You must provide information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material on dsghouse.com (e.g., specific URLs).
  • Your contact information, including your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

Upon receipt of a valid DMCA notice, we will promptly remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material. We will also notify the user who posted the material about the takedown and provide them with information on how to file a counter-notification.

Counter-Notification Process

If you believe that your content was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you have the right to submit a counter-notification. This allows you to dispute the copyright infringement claim.

To file a counter-notification, please send a written communication to our Designated Copyright Agent at [email protected]. Your counter-notice must include the following:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled, and the location (e.g., URL) at which the material appeared before it was removed or disabled.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material.
  • Your name, address, and telephone number.
  • A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or if your address is outside of the United States, for any judicial district in which dsghouse.com may be found. You must also state that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notification or an agent of such person.

After receiving a valid counter-notification, we will forward a copy to the original complaining party. Unless the copyright owner files an action seeking a court order against the content provider, member, or user, the removed material may be replaced, or access to it restored, within 10 to 14 business days after receipt of the counter-notification.
